Finished work samples from web, mobile apps, and software.

American Express

Mobile Experience - Targeted

A subsequent mobile experience seen here on iPadOS based on the case study for American Express. These 3 business cards had a highly motivated user based and usually came in under branded search terms. The expectation of luxury and imagery small businesses might get in perks, travel benefits and small business expenditures helped to drive the highest response rate.

American Express

Mobile Experience with Card Selection Tool

A separate AMEX project to target mobile users with an experience similar to what they were getting from the native AMEX iOS app. We established a baseline of metrics to isolate with our wizard, such as geolocation, credit score (perceived) and what was the primary source of benefits they wanted in their card. This was done in a traditional wizard format and led to a much higher approval rate and far less phone wizardry by our agents

Verizon Wireless

Mobile App for In-Store Sales Employees

Sample of an older model design but with a complex UX use case and very large data input to the app. This required a week long on-site session to study how Verizon sale reps worked with their existing sales and gamification tools, then a classic UX session to identify what the new app should focus on and what was most beneficial to the sales reps and ultimately their customers at retail locations.

Verizon Wireless

Parallax Experience - FiOS site

Verizon wanted an experience that would run temporarily in their push to drive FiOS revenue. This was a site heavily based on the use of parallax animation, UI effects that were new at the time, and most importantly dynamic content based on user behavior.

LL Bean

Seasonal Landing Page - Freelance

This site was a freelance project I had with L.L.Bean which needed to be a far departure from their site at the time. It had that old traditions e-commerce market place design and site experience that was driving the desired online shopping activity.

With a sharp focus on IA and basic user testing to compartmentalize content into logical locations, I was able to restructure the navigation, surface the content most needed on the first page, and allow for traditional marketing buckets

Aetna

Landscape by Aetna Insurance App

At Cynergy/KMPG, we created executive software that ran natively to a host of devices. Aetna needed a tool that gave their users a touch-screen (unusual at the time) so they could see clear data for them, and allow them to make changes to their screen with physical interaction. Commonplace now, but back then this was a large undertaking

Tire Kingdom

Software - touchscreen

This work sample is taken from software running in Tire Kingdom auto locations nationally. The project came in 2 part, one to create an experience to allow customer service maintenance to be streamlined and to make access to data like inventory more readily available to reps working with customers in physical locations. This software ran on 50in touch displays and on tablets when reps were outdoors

Fuji

Landscape by Fuji Film

My team at Cynergy was tasked with overhauling Fuji’s in-store photo software in locations like CVS and Walgreens. Any retail location where Fuji products were monitoring, creating, and troubleshooting customer prints. The UX challenge was harvesting all the hardware data & information coming in, coupling that with the employee user experience and overcoming the user actions needed for troubleshooting

VisiTrac

Employee Software - ICU wing

Our client created radio frequency medical tracking devices and had hospital admins interested in broadening the scope of this into a full-blown employee, patient, and medical device dashboard/tracker to be used on all displays in the ICU wings and on employee devices (tablets, smartphones).

Some key features included the rapid search and retargeting of devices based on triage needs. Patient, nurse, doctor, staff and devices all had RFID identifiers so locating, retasking, and life cycle information was all available on a 50-80 inch touch screen.

STEAM

Gaming Dashboard

STEAM is a gaming platform for delivery, community and development of games for the PC.

Our UX goal was to create a concept design which brought the individual parts of STEAM products into a unified experience and to create a UI for a user community who games were linked to their profile. Its intention was to aggregate these heavily used applications into one Facebook similar design and experience.
